Does hydrogen fuel corrode an engine internally?

0

When hydrogen is burned, water vapor is formed. During running this will be blown out of the exhaust, but when the engine is stopped some will no doubt condense, so could corrode steel in the engine. But it is less likely than for a gasoline engine where other combustion products like nitrogen oxides are also formed, and these are more corrosive.
