Oh yes! Huatulco is one of the very few (tourist) communities in the world recognized by “Green Globe 21” for supporting and practising “sustainable development”. For example: there is a water treatment plant and no waste water or sewage water is dumped into the ocean. A big part of the coast in Huatulco has been turned into a National Park, consisting of land as well as ocean.
