Does House Insurance cover damage from strong winds?

I can t say for sure whether your policy covers wind damage but most homeowner s policies do. You can sit and pour over your policy or call your agent and ask him. If he happens to tell you something that you don t want to hear then you can sit and pour over your policy to make sure that he is being truthful. Once you have called him and have taken some pictures you should be all done until the insurance company sends out an adjuster. Sometimes though the pictures will suffice so once again calling your agent should be priority number one. Seeing that you are taken care of when you have a claim is as much a part of his job as is selling you a policy so don t be hesitant about calling. Every policy is different so only he (or she) can really tell you what you need to do next but DO get those pictures.
