Does Holy Spirit school have a church?
Holy Spirit school site is adjacent to Holy Spirit Church Kurri Kurri. Each school year is opened and drawn to a close with a Eucharistic celebration. Primary grades enjoy the opportunity to prepare and celebrate a ‘grade mass’ during the year. Our church is the gathering point for a number of non- Eucharistic liturgies during the year. What opportunities are there for parents to be involved? Parents can be involved at all levels: in classrooms, hospitality, fundraising, liturgies, on excursions, training sporting teams, as canteen, at sporting events and working bees. What extra curricular opportunities are available for the children? There are sporting opportunities in netball, cricket, touch football, rugby league and soccer, as well as school carnivals for swimming, athletics and cross country from which children can move onto state level. Holy Spirit choir meets to practise each Monday and performs individually or in support of other functions on a number of occasions each year. C
