A remote media control interface can be created on top of HMP, and an application running on a separate server can control the server on which HMP is running through this remote interface. Today, a number of application developers use VoiceXML, SIP, and the media gateway control protocol (MGCP) to create remote media control interfaces. HMP integrates with each of these types of interfaces using the R4IP media library (IPML).
