Yes, you are right. Hinduism does not have caste system. Initially there were no castes, but there was this feeling of interest in realization among people. But over the time Brahmins and rich people have degraded poor people by creating castes. A poor person working as a fisherman was considered as of lesser caste, and was discriminated against. Even Manu’s laws say that by birth a man is just a man, but his mind and actions will say who he is. Consider Vishwamitra who was born to Kshatriya Parents but became a Brahmin because his mind was fully devoted to realization. Because I was blaming Brahmins long ago , many of them were responsible for creating caste system. Even some of the great Philosophers have said the same thing.
