I don’t think so. High Tech Education is merely a tool to augment lessons, it should not be the primary tool for presentation of material. I am a teacher and before I got a job, I had to observe several classes being taught. The most boring class I saw was a history class where the teacher simply read from a power point presentation. Other classes that were much more energetic used little or no technology. As I said, technology should be one of many tools for making learning better and more fun. One good way to do this is to avoid falling into a mundane process where the class is predictable. Children become disengaged with predictable classes. If a class is unpredictable and high energy, their minds will stay in high gear. Think of it as driving home. Have you ever forgotten how you got home because you were thinking of something else?
