Does Health Advantage provide coverage outside the state of Arkansas?
You may receive emergency-care or urgent-care services while traveling outside the state of Arkansas through the BlueCard® program. The BlueCard Program allows you to use your member ID card to receive emergency and urgent-care services covered by Health Advantage at the travel location and limit your expenses to your copayment and/or coinsurance when services are received from participating Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield providers. To locate the nearest participating BlueCard provider, members may go to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association BlueCard Doctor & Hospital Finder or call toll free 1-800-810-2583 (BLUE). Services other than emergency or urgent care outside the service area must first be approved by your PCP or Health Advantage to be covered. You may be responsible for the difference between the billed charges and allowable charges for services provided by nonparticipating BlueCard providers.
