Does Headwaters support only established 501(c)3 organizations?
Headwaters encourages emerging organizations at all stage and sizes to apply for Funding. However, if you are selected for funding (either through donor advised funding process or through funds) organizations must be legally incorporated entity requirements for support before your grant funds can be released. What we do fund: Incorporating as an organization is an option for groups with annual revenues under $25,000 with no employees. Please note, donations are not tax-deductible and many other foundations require IRS tax status for funding.
