Answer – (1) I am advised by the Health Department that the person providing orthodontic services at Tamworth, Dubbo and Wagga Wagga has conditional registration with the Dental Board of New South Wales. (2) The conditional registration does not require supervision as the dentist concerned has completed the academic requirements for specialist orthodontist registration. (3) I am advised that, as a postgraduate specialist student, the person was appointed as a registrar in the State Orthodontic Service in November 1994. Following the completion of specialist examinations, the appointment was continued and the person undertook to provide service in the three localities traditionally serviced by orthodontic registrars.
