Does Hawaiian table setting needs spoon and fork?
They eat poi with their fingers. If the Hawaiian table setting is Americanized enough, then spoon and fork seem okay. This last year, my wife and I went to a Hawaiian Luau at a prestigious hotel on the island of Hawaii. Surprise…there was a spoon and fork. I don’t claim expertise in etiquette, but that prestigious hotel did not have a problem with setting a spoon and fork at the Luau. It sounds alright to me.
