Does having a toddler with developmental delays qualify her for disability income?

0

My almost two year old has developmental delays and has been receiving therapies from a program here locally. She has been getting occupational and physical therapies, but has been seen by a psychiatrist even though the program does not provide behavioral treatment. She does have a behavioral issue as well, but I’m having trouble accessing assistance. I was told that she may qualify for SSI because of the delays that she have and the treatment she will need in the future for her behavior problems. I don’t have enough space to go into more about her issues, and don’t think I should (parental reasons dealing with privacy), but do think what I have described should shine some light. Please help me understand all this. Thanks!
