Does hardwood contain resins?
Real hardwood doesn’t contain any resin, which can use formaldehyde. Although companies are finding more and more ways to make products that are natural or even organic, if you are allergic, then real hardwood floors may put your mind at rest. Hardwood floors have lasted, and can last, a very long time. That’s all our ancestors had and many older homes still have their original flooring fairly intact. Even when they are hundreds of years old. And, hardwood floors can be repaired and made to look like new with sanding and re-staining.
