Does Greenvale School close in the summer?
No, Greenvale School is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Greenvale typically is only closed 8-10 days each year, for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, 2 days for planning and transition in the fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. In addition, Greenvale increases its services for school-age children during the summer months and school holiday periods. Greenvale offers full-day care for school age children up through age 12 during the summer and on days when the public schools are closed during the school year. On rare occasions, Greenvale may close due to inclement weather; local television and radio stations will be notified as early as possible if such a closing is necessary. We make every effort to safely stay open, however, recognizing that even on bad weather days, most parents are required to report to work.
