Does graphic design pay well?
Graphic design can indeed pay well. But, like many design based industry it’s extremely cut throat. Average salaries vary greatly depending on your position in a team, your skills and the way you work. (I’ve do the occasional free lance to get me through university and can earn anywhere from £100 – £500 per piece, and I like to think my prices are very modest). Studio workers can get anywhere from 14K upwards. It’s extremely dependent and there are a lot of variables. You might want to consider various graphic design disciplines such a Games Design, if that is what your interested in. A local college prospectus can probably tell you more.
