Does grade book totally go by date to order assignments?
No. In the Display Options/Assignment Display there is a Sort Assignments by: drop down list where you can choose Date Sequence, Category or Assignment Group. Teachers can create their own Assignment Groups. When you add an assignment there is a field for it or you can edit existing assignment information to use that classification after assignments have already been entered and scored.
