Does Government taxation prevent people from becoming rich through business?

Government taxation takes money out of the economy and taxes business to fund government bureaucracy. So it doesn’t prevent people from becoming rich, but makes it that much harder. Which is why the wealth is moving to Asia.

Depends on what tax, but I think it prevents all people from becoming rich. A private business is always going to generate more wealth than someone who is just an employee (which is fair because the employee has virtually no risk in the business aspect), but the taxes are shared by everyone regardless. If taxes were lower, all people would find it easier to maximize their profits, which would make them richer. So, you have to ask yourself what’s more important, having more of your own money, or giving your money to the government to fund the luxuries we have like police forces, fire departments, roads, unemployment benefits etc.
