Does God ever commit evil or create bad things in the world and the universe?
It is common in todays theological world to be told that God and Christ can only perform “good” in the universe. We are told it is always Satan and his evil angels who are the perpetrators of bad and evil, not God! The truth, however, is very different from this erroneous teaching. While God and Christ can never perform “sin,” because sin is the transgression of law (I John 3:4) and it is God and Christ who set all the rules and laws in the universe and they can change them to suit their purposes any time they wish. Yet, we do find that God performs what the Bible calls “evil” quite consistently in Gods rulership over the universe.
