Does Global Alumina have any growth potential?
Absolutely. There is evidence of substantially more bauxite within Guinea Aluminas concession area than the initial phase of the refinery will require. Though the refinery, originally configured with two processing lines, is expected to initially produce 3.3 million metric tons annually, its annual production is expected to reach the refinerys nominal steady-state capacity of 3.6 million metric tons within five years and gradually increase to a capacity of 3.95 million metric tons through its lifespan. Additionally, the infrastructure access advantage can accommodate a third processing line which if built would increase the refinerys total nominal capacity to over 5.4 million metric tons per year.
