Does Gifted and Talented feature within National Challenge schools?
Yes, it’s really important that we encourage all National Challenge schools to focus on improvement for all their pupils, not just those below the 5+ A*-C (including English and mathematics) threshold. Through the National Challenge G&T project we want to develop strategies and resources that schools can use to support G&T education that will help to bring about whole-school improvement, introducing strategies that achieve excellence for all. We also want to give National Challenge schools an opportunity to develop expertise in a field that will help them to attract more pupils from all backgrounds.
