Does getting sugery for a 3 broken bones in your leg hurt?
My mother had to have surgery for a broken arm and a broken hip. During the surgery there was no pain because they give her chemicals to make her sleep. But after the surgery, she had some pain. Whenever you have a cut anywhere, doesn’t it hurt before the cut heals? So wherever they have to cut to repair the bones, those cuts will obviously hurt after the surgery until they heal. However, they have powerful pain medicine that usually will numb the pain until the cuts heal. Best thing to do is ask your surgeon if you can speak with someone who had a similar injury and had the surgery. They can tell you exactly what to expect during and after the surgery.
