Does getting into Google news increase pagerank??
The short answer may be yes, but only indirectly: If you get on Google News –> you get more visitors –> more people are exposed to your content –> if your content is of good quality people will link to it. The simple logic is, the more visitors are exposed to your content, the more chances you get to improve the external links to your site, and those contribute to your PageRank value. But if your content is not good enough, you will probably not see an increase. Maybe only an increase in short visits to your site (check your web analytics to see this).
