Does getting a tattoo hurt a breast feed baby?
I can’t think of any reason a breast feeding mother getting a tattoo would effect the baby as long as the tattoo is not in the breast region. Just check the cremes or cleaning products you use in the after care process. You can actually use A & D or aquafor which you may have in your house for diaper rash anyway! And as for what Jillian said, if you go to any half way reputable place the risk of you getting HIV or Hep is so minimal. I can think of a million other riskier things people do everyday. I have a close friend who is a tattoo artisit and basically unless you are getting it done out of someone’s house or in a back alley the state regulates tattoo parlors pretty heavily (atleast here in NJ). Go to a place with a good reputation or has been in your area a long time and you’ll be plenty safe.
