Yes, GermFree24 does add to the first layer of skin. This is an extremely important layer of the skin that resists most pathogen penetration. AMOSILQ adds to this layer and strengthens it. The softness experienced with GermFree24 usage is due to the skin retaining moisture first introduced by the application of GermFree24 and secondly by the AMOSILQ layer lubricating and restricting further loss of moisture from the skin. A moisturizer is defined as an ingredient that inhibits moisture loss from the skin. GermFree24 provides this whilst providing a thin oleophilic layer on top of the skin similar to adding a very thin, bonded molecular film of Vaseline to prevent moisture loss.
