Does Genesis 1:26 prove that God is a trinity of persons?
No, it does not. And God said, “Let us make man in our image…” [Gen. 1:26] To use the word “us” and try to form other Gods in the creation, clashes not only with the Scriptures, but with common sense. The word God means Supreme Being, the eternal and infinite Spirit, Creator and Sovereign of the universe. There cannot be more than one Supreme Being. By no means was God talking or counseling with other Gods. He was counseling with His own will.
