Does Geneseo accept Advanced Placement credit?

0

Advanced placement, with or without college credit, may be granted to a first-year student whose performance on the College Entrance Examination Board Advanced Placement Tests (AP) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level exams gives clear evidence of competence in the courses tested. Geneseo credit is granted to first-year students who achieve a 3, 4, or a 5 on the Advanced Placement Exams. The amount of credit and/or placement appropriate to the academic development of the student is determined by the Geneseo academic department concerned, following the registrar’s review of the tests and records submitted for advanced placement. Geneseo recognizes the International Baccalaureate and offers credit based on individual higher level examination results. Credit may be earned for scores of 4, 5, 6, and 7 on IB higher level examinations.
