Does gas flow rate affect the measurement in carbon dioxide and oxygen products?
No, the optical absorption techniques used in Vaisala’s oxygen and carbon dioxide measurement devices are not directly influenced by flow rate of the measured gas. However, care should be taken to assure that flow characteristics do not alter the gas pressure at the probe, as pressure changes will affect the accuracy of the measurement. Recommended flow rates are listed in the product documentation.
