It does give you an adrenaline rush. It’s not so much lack of excitement as lack of enjoyment. If your life just had to be interesting then poor people would never get addicted to gambling because you can’t say struggling everyday to earn little is “boring”. Just depressing. Gambling comes from getting addicted to the little rushes of elation that come when you win. If you don’t often feel good or have any favorite interests as such, you might be slightly depressed.
