Does “gallbladder disease” affect my baby (fetus) in any way?

I had my gall bladder removed at 24 weeks with this pregnancy. The doctor decided to do surgery because the attacks can actually cause preterm labor and if there is a blockage of the ducts (which I had, with an infection) that can also cause you to go into preterm labor because of infection. If you are still having major problems you need to talk with your doctor because once the baby is much larger it will not be safe to do surgery and you’ll have to wait it out. The only dangers to my baby were the danger of preterm labor and that he’s a bit small because of the loss of nutrients because I was so ill for so long. He actually came through the surgery better than I did! The surgery was scary because I had ot go into the operating room and be awake during prep because they couldn’t give me too much anesthesia because of the baby, I was very nervous but it’s a pretty routine operation for pregnant women.
