Since the duvet cover is fabric it is subject to the Textile Labelling Act & Regulations and is exempt from the Consumer Packaging & Labeling Act & Regulations, even if it is sold in a pre-packaged format. Because fabric duvet covers are exempt from the Consumer Packaging and Labeling Act, you would not need to include the product identity in French. However, because the Textile Labeling Act does apply, the word “Cotton” must also be listed in French on the package (unless the permanent label listing the fiber content in both languages is visible to the consumer.).
