not since the Patriot Act and the rise of the Police State in the era of “terrorism” it hasn’t existed. Though some might argue it was being whittled away even before then. You can say a lot of things but you cannot say whatever you like, you cannot express yourself in ways that are anti-government in a lot of cases. Every second of every day corporations and governments are looking for ways to take our rights away and bury our freedoms under scare tactics and a promise that if we give up a few freedoms we will be safer…and as Ben Franklin said “Those that surrender freedom for safety deserve neither freedom nor safety”.
