Not usually. Surgical procedures may be performed in our office in a Licensed Ambulatory Surgical suite for your convenience. Your podiatric surgeon is well qualified to discuss the needs of your particular case. Surgery may be performed under local anesthesia or with light sedation administered by an Anesthesiologist specialist. Your surgeon will advise you on the best possible postoperative care, so that your recovery will be rapid and as comfortable as possible. In some instances where specialized surgical equipment is required, the Podiatry Group of Annapolis is affiliated with the Anne Arundel Medical center.
