No. Fog of War does not need to run, and since it takes 20+MB of memory while running you should close it while flying. You randomise the missions before flying. Close Fog of War, then fly. What’s a Base Mission? A Base Mission is a normal .mis mission file, but instead of placing only the objects you want, you place all the possible locations for each group of objects. An example of a Group is “Pe-2’s at Airfield X”. By telling Fog Of War the Minimum and Maximum quantity etc for each Group, some of the objects from the Base Mission are transferred to create the randomised mission.
