Does Florida have any persistently dangerous schools pursuant to the federal No Child Left Behind Act?
In Fiscal Year 2008-09, no schools in Florida met the states definition of persistently dangerous schools. The federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), the revised Elementary and Secondary Education Act, requires states to establish and implement a statewide policy that allows students attending a school determined by the state to be persistently dangerous to transfer to a safe school within the school district.
