Mostly yes. However long and with whatever method, the shoulder is immobilised there are high chances of recurrence. The detached labrum with capsule does not heal to its original position. The younger the age at the first dislocation, higher the chances of recurrence. If the joint is lax, it also leads to recurrent dislocations.
