Fire uses X libraries on Unix platform implementations, and should be compatible with PC-based X emulation software as well as true XTerminals. Fire has been tested successfully on 8-bit and 24-bit X emulation environments, but does not work in 16-bit X emulation environments. Xmarc does not guarantee performance in X emulation environments, and does not provide support for PC-based X emulation technologies.
