Does Fire provide an editor for modifying program source code and/or configuration files?
No, you can use a standard text editor to modify Fire source code. If you use Notepad on a Windows machine you will notice that some of the files become garbled. This is because Fire is designed to be a cross-platform development environment and the files are in the UNIX compatible format. For UNIX users any editor, including vi can be used. Xmarc has provided some support files for EMACS. These files can be found on the CD in \unsupported\editors\emacs. For Windows users, there are a number of commercially available text editors. Xmarc has provided some template files for MultiEdit. These files can be found on the CD in \unsupported\editors\MultiEdit.
