No. File Access Manager does not require any other extra hard drive. File Access Manager was designed to monitor he file system for read requests coming from your backup software, causing no noticeable slowdown in system performance. I get the error ‘Failed to access File Access Manager device’ after installation. Please make sure that you rebooted after the installation. If you still have this problem, try to uninstall and then re-install.
