Does FIDM offer opportunities to study abroad?
Yes. Global issues are at the forefront of an education at FIDM. Because today’s markets and careers are nothing short of global, we believe it is vital for students to have exposure to international issues in the classroom and through specialized Study Tours. Our International Manufacturing & Product Development students study in Paris and Hong Kong. Our Footwear Design students travel to Italy to manufacture their shoe designs. FIDM’s Study Tours explore major centers of Fashion, Textile, and Interior Design as well as retailing and manufacturing areas. Students tour each city; visit historical sites and museums; and benefit from appointments with industry professionals. FIDM also maintains extraordinary academic exchange programs with educational institutions in major design centers, including Paris, Milan, Rome, and Mexico City.
