Does fasterfox 2.0 work with firefox 3?
Firefox 2.0 is being cut off – no longer supported by mozilla because it is very insecure – and fasterfox 2.0 is based on it – so you shouldn’t use it for that reason. I see no reason that you can’t run both on the same system – I had Firefox 2 and Firefox 3, as well as ‘Swiftfox’ and ‘Swiftweasel’ for a while – but to be honest with you, the original Firefox is better. The ‘faster fox’ experience is negligable, and speed is gained by making fonts more ugly, or turning other basic features that make it a more luxurious browser – but the speed difference is very much less than 10% – so you’ll never notice it.
