Does excess consumption of alcohol effects bones and joints of humanbody?”?
Long term and heavy consumption of alcohol is known to damage the liver, kidneys, and brain. Alcohol abuse puts significant stress on the pulmonary system. Many alcoholics suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure) and tachycardia (permanent elevation of heart rate). Lastly, alcohol tends to aggravate existing health problems. There is nothing specific to alcohol which impacts bones and joints, but alcohol does so much damage elsewhere in the body that it is best to drink only in moderation or not at all.
