Does everyone realise that the moon in australia has a different “face”?

I doubt whether “everyone” knows this, but I do, since I’ve been to Australia. Incidentally “Australia” and “Moon” are proper nouns and should be spelled with capital letters. [Edit] I assume you mean by a “different face” that the “Man in the Moon” is upside down as seen from Australia. Everyone on Earth sees the same side of the Moon, but it seems to be upside down as you move from Northern to Souhern Hemisphere or vice versa.

Yes. Because it is round, and the earth is round, and the moon is quite big in comparison to the earth, moving around the earth’s surface will reveal slightly more of the visible area of the moon. Almost 60% of it becomes visible from various locations around the world. But we never see “the other side”.

Sorry, you’re wrong, hence the phrase “dark side of the Moon” (the side people on Earth never see). Good news, though, apparently you have company in “Top Contributor in Astronomy & Space ” Geoff G. Sorry, I couldn’t resist the irony… Although he is right about the capitalization, so I fixed mine.

No, because it doesn’t. They merely see the Moon some sort of upside down as compared to how people in the Northern hemisphere. But the same is true for people in the south of Africa, and in South America.
