Does everyone else on the list know Phil personally?
No, but it sometimes seems that way to me too (sigh). Seriously, several list members have met Phil briefly by virtue of hanging around at the right place before or after concerts, and there are probably a dozen or so that Phil knows by name, either by virtue of meeting them at a lot of concerts, or through other channels. Finally there are a few people on the list who are personal friends of Phil, many of whom have known him since his days with the Glass Harp.
