Does every state require that a nonprofit operate under a goverining board of at least 3?
U.S State laws require a minimum of 3 founders which includes a Founder, a director an an officer but often the same person can play all three roles. Some states require more than one person. These are the District of Columbia..3 or more, New Hampshire ..minimum of 5, Oklahoma.. 3 or more, South Dakota… minimum of 3. There seem to be more states accepting one person than those requiring more.
