Does every piece of furniture donated go directly to a qualified family?
The majority of furniture collected, (two thirds) goes to needy individuals and families. One third of the furniture is sold through our Thrift Store. The receipts from these sales underwrite the operating expenses of the Cleveland Furniture Bank. This is a successful model that appears to reduce the need for numerous fund raising efforts.
