Does Eureka! provide practice for shapes questions ?
The Eureka! program is especially designed for patterns and sequences questions in section 3 of the UMAT. This is because there has been a shift towards patterns and sequences questions over the past few years. In fact, in 2006, section 3 was ENTIRELY comprised of patterns and sequences questions (shapes questions no longer appeared). However, the UMAT changes every year and there is no guarantee that ACER will not reinstate some shapes questions in section 3 in the future. This is why we suggest students do the vast majority of their section 3 practice on patterns and sequences (through Eureka) but also become familiar with shapes questions. To this end, Eureka also has a module that can create unlimited Shapes (Type I and II) questions.
