Does equal shared parental responsibility mean both parents spend equal time with their children?
If you have equal shared parental responsibility with the other parent and the Court does not think your children should spend equal time with you and the other parent, the Court must then look at whether your children should spend “substantial and significant” time with the parent they do not live with. Substantial and significant time is more than every second weekend and half of the school holidays. It includes both parents spending time with the children on some weekdays, weekends and holidays. It is time that allows both parents to be involved in the daily activities of their children.
