Does EnPro offer incentives to get employees into wellness programs?
To encourage employees to take part in biometric screenings and personal-health assessments and to reward employees whose screening results are within a specific range, we are offering premium reductions for 2010. We have gone tobacco-free at all U.S. properties and offer free smoking- and weight-management programs. Our goal is to help our employees improve their health status and give EnPro the ability to analyze the screening results. With these results, we will be able to offer additional tools and programs to assist employees. Do you have any measurable outcomes from that effort? We had a 2% reduction in claims cost last year for our CDHP program. That’s significant because anytime you’re flat or negative in claims, that’s positive.
