Does embryonic stem cell research involve abortion?

0

No. Embryonic stem cell research does not involve abortion in any way whatsoever. The two basic sources of embryonic stem cells are leftover fertility clinic embryos, which have not been implanted in a woman’s uterus and would otherwise be discarded and destroyed, and the SCNT process, which provides a way to use a patient’s own cell and an unfertilized human egg to make embryonic stem cells in a lab dish. Neither of these sources uses an embryo or fetus in a woman’s uterus, and they do not involve abortion.
