In general, no, and especially not if the stone is sealed properly. All stone is porous to some degree, but, neither granite or marble has an extremely high porosity level. However, some unsealed colors will show moisture spots if exposed for long periods of time. For example, a puddle of water left on a counter for 30 minutes or more will show moisture on an unsealed stone until the spot completely dries.
